Plays a lot with Dj’s and his Amazing Supersonic Saxes. Mainly dance, deephouse and lounge. With his bands he orignally played funk, soul and jazz dance. Started his career with his own band, the Pasadena Dream Band in 1981 and played with Joe Cockerin 1984, Richelnel and lately with Aretha Franklin. He formed many new bands and created many new forms of music.Jan Kiewiet de Jonge, Saxophonist and promotor of many artists, musicians, bands and events. Born in Sumatra (Indonesia) in 1959 he lived in Liberia (Africa), Vienna (Austria), Lisbon (Portugal) and Noordwijk (the Netherlands). From a young age he showed an interest for music. Starting piano lessons at a early age, the saxophone followed later. When he was sixteen years of age he joined the jazz groupe of Hubert Wyers, The Cooker, who was already playing all around Leiden on the age of fifteen whit his groupe the Cooker”s Hot Five.After school Jan alias Johnny Tenor Goodbye studied music in Lisbon with Vitor Santos. Back in Holland he studied with Albert Beltman on the Conservatory of The Hague. Soon after this he started his own band the Pasadena Funk Association and later the Pasadena Dream Band, The Ram Jam Band featuring the mucho macho horn Section and played with many big names like Joe Cocker, Richenel, Mai Tai Centerfold, Aretha Franklin, Hans Dulfer, Ben van den Dungen, Jan van Duikeren Saskia Laroo, Karel Boehlee, Toon Roos and many others.
